Here are some of Energy@Work’s tips and tricks to “slaying” phantom power over the holidays- and all year round!
Unplug phone and tablet chargers
Switch off lights
Unplug kitchen appliances (toaster, coffee maker, kettle etc.)
Group together appliances using a power bar- use a self-timed power bar for effortless savings
Wear a sweater to avoid turning up the heat
Use stairs when possible
Turn off computers, monitors and TVs, screen savers don’t save energy
Unplug/dispose of unnecessary appliances (extra fridge, photocopier, printer etc.)
Avoid printing when possible- this will save energy and paper!
